Since the festival of Diwali was approaching and then Christmas, I wanted to redecorate my house, since in this pandemic, we all are stuck at home only. Refurbishing it or re organising it would give all the family members a refreshed feeling and a lifted mind. The first step was decluttering of the rooms. There are many things, which we don’t use at regular basis, or at wear and tear condition. I removed those things, which gave me clean space and I was happy to see it. Next came the issue of walls which needs to be distempered with new colours, but at this time of pandemic, its unhygienic to let enter an outside painter inside the house. I was deeply in thought how to remove this difficulty, when suddenly the idea of wall art prints peeped into my mind. I have kids, who paint lots of things in this pandemic vacation, why not display, their art on a wall of the living room. This would enhance their enthusiasm and also make my family members proud n ultimately fill up the pale wall. This was a win win situation.
Same, I did for the bedroom, I displayed some good photos of our marriage, the first photo of my kids, my medal receiving photo, my parents photos etc in a collage .The second bedroom was decorated with prints on a canvas, which my mother gifted me on my birthday. The picture is absolutely nice in black and white of an old city .It matched the décor of the entire room, and gave me a sense of peace too.
If you are also planning to redecorate, you can go with metal arts, classical paintings of god or goddesses. Even different shaped mirrors give a bright and get together look to your room.
You need not think twice about the expenses of such redecorating, because the expenses or costing is minimal.
